Located in the foothills of
the Apennine Mountains with spectacular views of the Upper
Tiber Valley of Tuscany and Umbria, Borgo Rurale di Passano
is perfect for both individual and group retreats. The
Borgo sits on 4 hectares (10 acres) of land surrounded by
endless natural woodlands and meadows, ideal for hiking and
meditation.
The Borgo consists of a
Medieval Longobard Tower with its own hamlet which dates
back to the 4th century. For centuries the Borgo
was a ‘convento’ (religious community) and was the center
for the families that lived in the valley. It became know
as “Passano”, a place of safe passage for pilgrims and
travelers. In honor of it’s history, the original house has
the name “Ca’ dei Frati”, “The House of the Friars”. |
